SM CITY TRECE MARTIRES, CAVITE – As a tribute for exceptional teachers of Amadeo, Cavite and as part of the Teacher’s Day celebration, the Grade 12 General Academic Strand (GAS) students of Kariton Senior High School headed by 2009 CNN Hero Efren Peñaflorida, Jr. successfully conducted their event entitled “Bayaning Guro ng Amadeo” last October 27,2019 in partnership with SM City Trece Martires, Cavite. In the pursuit of educating their scholars with real-life application of their lessons, Kariton Senior High School’s AD-Leadership and Management Class supervised by teacher Klarence Baptista has set the first ever teacher appreciation awards for the teachers of Amadeo, Cavite.

Also in celebration of the Teacher’s Month, Bayaning Guro ng Amadeo 2019 gave recognition and appreciation to teachers who were nominated by their current and former students whose lives have been touched and are inspired by the lives of these educators. Out of all the nominees, ten teachers were invited to be recognized and are given a platform to inspire other teachers and students as well. These ten outstanding teachers were carefully selected to find those who helps without hesitation, encourage without exclusion, respect without reservation and operate without oppression. The judges are from the Department of Education – Division of Cavite Province, CNN Hero and Kariton Klasrum Educator Efren Peñaflorida Jr., and a noble volunteer educator and part of the Bayaning Pamilya Awardee of Gawad Genny Lopez’ Bayaning Pilipino, Melanie F. Monto.

Present in the event are the representatives from the Department of Education – Division of Cavite Province Alma Lopez, Melanie Cruz, and Allain Alvarez, event partners, volunteer teachers, and Kariton Senior High School current students and alumni, who gave heart-felt performances to inspire and encourage more teachers to continue their hard work in shaping the world’s future through shaping the minds and characters of this generation.
